Job Description

As a substitute, you will be part of the daily work and actively work to create a stimulating and developing environment where students are at the center. You are a positive role model for the students in all situations. You are active and attentive, take responsibility, and set boundaries when needed. Together with the regular staff, you contribute to ensuring that students have the best conditions to succeed in school.

The substitute agency fills shifts digitally, which means you need access to a computer and a mobile phone. As a substitute, you indicate which days and times you are available to work and will be contacted when needs arise at the school. We fill assignments that are 1-14 days long, and we want you to work at least 1 day a week on average.

We offer three types of assignments:

• Student Assistant - you follow and support a student who needs assistance in certain subjects/tasks or who needs guidance in social interactions. It may also involve helping a student with a disability to manage their school day.
• Resource - you function as an extra adult in the classroom alongside the regular teacher. You work both with the whole group and in smaller groups, without pedagogical responsibility.
• Leisure Educator - you participate in the educational work for students during leisure time after school. Regardless of the assignment, working in the school environment means making a difference.

Qualifications

For the primary school's substitute agency, we primarily seek those who are trained student assistants or leisure educators. We value experience working with children and young people. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for the job. As a person, you have good pedagogical skills and an understanding of people's different abilities to absorb knowledge. It is important that you take initiative and start activities to achieve results. You are a flexible person who has the ability to see opportunities in changes. Additionally, you remain calm and composed in various situations and have the ability to focus on the right things.
